Kibbutz - Nursery specializing Hydroponic farming
After breakfast, visit to Kibbutz with Greenhouses & Hydroponic Farming (2 hours visit). Visit nursery specializing Hydroponic plantation. We continue to the valley of Springs, BIO BEE to see and learn about Biologically based Integrated Pest Management (2 hours visit) to see the cultivation of Dates & Pomegranates. Jerusalem
After breakfast, continue to Jerusalem to see the Panoramic overview of the old and new city of Jerusalem. Along the Kidron Valley view the garden of Gethsemane, the wall of the old city & Mt. of Olives. Enter the old city via. Ein Gedi - Dead Sea
After breakfast, we will drive to Ein Gedi which is an oasis and a nature reserve in Israel, located in the west of Dead Sea. The kibbutz operates a 100 dunam (10 hac, 24.7 acre) botanical garden housing over 900 plant species from around the world. It is the only populated botanical garden in the world, with 500 residents. The garden joined the register of the Botanic Gardens Conservation International in 1994, and today is recognized by the National Geographic Society as "the 11th wonder of the world. Then we will go to the Dead Sea which is the lowest point on Earth (430 meters below the sea level). Time to float on the mineral rich waters of the Dead Sea. Relax and enjoy. Igudan - Volcani Agriculture Institute
After breakfast, drive to Igudan (the Dan Region Association of Towns for Sewage and Environmental Issues) that assigns great importance to promoting and fostering environmental awareness in our community. Igudan’s Visitors Centre, which is located in the city of Rishon Lezion at the very heart of the Shafdan Plant, is an educational-ecological centre, committed to expanding environmental education. Underground life in the Dan Region is exhibited for visitors throughout the Visitors Centre tour. The interactive experience at the centre combines educational films, a simulation of an underground pipe and an introduction to the water cycling process. Later, we will continue to the Volcani Institute, Israel’s leading Agricultural Innovation Centre to discover the driving force behind Israel’s internationally-acclaimed agricultural achievements. A 2 Hours tour of Institute will cover the various aspects of Food Security, Agriculture Engineering, Post-harvest technologies, Waste Recycling & Water Management facilities and so on.
